What's this whole "Honorary Perv" thing?

You might have noticed that the Shack has more bodies rubbing about since December? You might be wondering just what is going on? Well ladies and gents, it is with great delight that I tell you a wee bitty more about our newest members - our Honorary Perv's!

What is an Honorary Perv I hear you ask? Well, an Honorary Perv is an author or a reviewer in the fandom, that we think will add another layer to your favourite bunch of perv's! We all have our own tastes here at The Shack - but we know just like Ben & Jerry's that you dear pervlings enjoy variety and getting a taste of a new or different flavour. So every month, in addition to your regular favourite Perv's, you will get one or two different Honorary Perv's and all the deliciousness they can offer! They will be partaking in our round table recommendations and offering up their favourite lemony one-shots just like the regular pack girls. From this month they will also be joining in on our other fun like our recc's for our specialist teams - Wussperv, Slash and Anything Goes.

To bring you up to speed, our special calender girls will let you get to know them a bit better, this week its the turn of the glorious QJMOM. She was our Miss December and was a welcome addition to the pack with her pervy, warm & witty ways ~ Get to know her better below, and come back next Tuesday for a closer look at January's Honourary Perv's.....

Alrighty…now qjmom, Q, Kellan stalker, “that fucking bitch, Q”… take your pick, I will pretty much answer to any of these. Honestly there is nothing really exciting about me…I’m a boring SAHM of two kids (the “q” and “j” of qjmom – I know I’m a genius, right?). I’m probably the oldest honorary perv that will be on here. I won’t say how old I am, but I’m about to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary and I didn’t get married at 13!

I swear, I am so boring! I am the typical SAHM; I volunteer in the kids’ classrooms twice a week, we do soccer half the Saturday’s of the year, we go to church every Sunday…blah blah blah….Seriously, if you were to look at me, you would never suspect that I read dirty stories about Edward and Bella (or Emmett and Rose, or Rose and Bella, or Emmett and Carlisle…) let alone write any of them. I am so bland that people freak when they see that I have a tattoo!

I have TRUE Irish twins (and the O’ name to go with them!). My kids are 10 months apart and were actually born in the same year! AND they are only 6 and 7 years old…so little man was a big fucking surprise!! Here is my favorite pic of them that makes people go, “Holy shit! You had two babies!”

Thinking back to where the perviness began, my first thought was fanfiction. BUT then I remembered that I was always meant to be a perv…in the 6th grade, I got in trouble for bringing Judy Blume’s Forever to school so I could share the dirty parts with my friends (Come on…I know you all remember RALPH!!) After that, I stuck to pretty tame stuff (though I ventured into the Sleeping Beauty Sage by Anne Rice and I think that I almost died of embarrassment as I read). My first foray in to Twific pervdom was psymom’s Stranger Than Fiction. Good Lord I would wait for her to update and when she brought out Rob’s “black silk boxers” I almost orgasmed right then. This was the first time that I wanted to jump the hubs after reading…

Those who have been around for a few years know me from Passion Fish. That was when I fell in love with Emmett *sigh* It was also the first time that I had to write some smuttiness (though what I wrote way back when was what I call “sweet smut”- no dirty words and lots of euphemisms). I was BRIGHT RED! Here I was a 30-something mom writing about Emmett making Rose come…YIKES!! But, eventually it got easier and I got a lot dirtier! HAHA!

And once I started writing smut…well I really couldn’t stop! I have written everything from AH (Emmett and Rose in Indivisible), Canonish AU (The Game), AU (Shadow Guardians with vjgm and shabbyapple – it’s going back up on Twilighted in the next couple of weeks with a NEW EPILOGUE!!), RPF (Best Kiss), and finally…GULP…SLASH (The Nutcracker Sweet – which I blame Nina and vjgm for!!).

Oh and while it isn’t really smutty…one of my fave stories was Nina’s birthday story Bella’s Panty Predicament. I mean I used the word “panties” around 30 times just for her!!

Just like I write pretty much anything…I read pretty much anything too! One of my favorites right now are (and I swear I am not sucking up!) is MsKathy’s Yes, Mistress. I LOVE how she has created the dynamic between Rose and Bella, showing their equal footing in their relationship outside of their playtime. The fact that they can have the Mistress/Pet relationship in their playroom, and then have a loving and giving one in their everyday life I think is beautiful and MsKathy does such a great job with it. And the recent addition of Edward…EEK! I love this story so much!! (AND as an added bonus just for me because she loves me…I’m getting an Emmett sammich coming up sometime *blows kisses to Kathy*)

There are so many more that I have loved over the past years, some super smutty and some sweet smutty and some not smutty at all. I love that our community is so creative and we have so many great writers that keep us entertained (and hubs is much appreciative too!)!

Oh, I almost forgot! While the day I got married, and the days my kids were born were really great…here are two pics from two of the best days I’ve ever had!!
